FIRE SAFETY

The Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Company is a non-profit organization providing emergency fire and medical services to the community of Moose Pass, Alaska.  Our all-volunteer staff provides year round, 24 hour per day on-call emergency coverage between Mile 16 and Mile 38 of the Seward Highway.  When necessary, we offer Mutual Aid to Cooper Landing.

We maintain two emergency vehicles:
"Squad 1" is a combination medical/fire unit with a 250 gallon capacity tank.  We carry emergency extraction equipment and medical supplies to provide First Responder aid in the event of accidents, trauma or other medical emergencies.
"Engine 2" is our big, red 1,000 gallon pumper truck.

We are funded entirely by grants and donations.  Property owners in our service area are asked to contribute $75 per year to help offset our operational costs.  If you live in the Moose Pass area and would like to volunteer, or If you would like to help keep us funded, please contact our Chief, Mike Turner at myt@arctic.net to find out how!
